Leonard Cohen - NYC Beacon Theatre 2/19/09 He's Your Man and Then Some . . .

People were offering us fistfuls of cash for our tickets prior to entering the newly renovated Beacon Theatre venue. Leonard Cohen and his amazing band took the stage at 8pm and played till 11:11pm. This show marked Cohen's first time back in NYC in fifteen years and he was our man and then some. The seventy five year old Cohen moved around the stage as sexily as when he was young and spry, falling down on to his knees like it was old times. His voice sounded pristine and with a character most singers would die for. You Coachella attendees are in for a real treat! Absolutely amazing show.

*Cohen's band consisted of Roscoe Beck - Musical Director, Bass, background Vocals, Neil Larsen - Keyboard, Bob Metzger - Guitar, steel guitar & vocal, Javier Mas - Bandurria, laud, archilaud and 12 string guitar, Rafael Gayol - Drums & percussion, Dino Soldo - Keyboard, saxophone, wind instruments and vocals, Sharon Robinson - Vocals, The Webb Sisters - Vocals and gymnasts.
