September 23rd Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz, Mali Music, The Good, the Bad and the Queen) will release a new LP entitled Monkey, Journey to the West. Journey to the West is performed by both European and Chinese musicians and singers and produced by Damon Albarn. The LP is based on the opera Monkey Journey to the West, the album is a natural development of the art and music which Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn created with director Chen Shi-Zheng.
